On Wednesday, March 15th the Grade 4's will be going to Grouse Mountain to take part in the Hiwus First Nations Cultural Program. This program included a guided snowshoe walk in the woods followed by lunch in a traditional Hiwus feasthouse. A Squamish First Nations elder will then share traditional ways of life through song, dance, legends and crafts.
We will be leaving VTT at around 8:45am and returning in time for regular dismissal. Please ensure that your child has the following:
-warm coat and snow pants
-hat, gloves/mittens, scarf
-sweater or fleece (layers are recommended)
-boots suitable for snow
-warm socks (extra pair too)
-backpack
-snacks and lunch
-filled water bottle
-chapstick/sunscreen (optional)
